Film Grant Program Renewed for 2011-2012

The Idaho Film Grant program, begun in 2010 by the Idaho Film Office to encourage workforce development projects in media production, has been launched for the 2011-2012 season. The program funding for 2011-2012 has been increased from $20,000 to $30,000. The maximum for each grant remains $5,000 with matching funding required.
The 2010-2011 program awarded six grants. One documentary feature - Jens Pulver I DRIVEN - has been completed and is out in the marketplace with screenings being held across the country and a VOD release this next month. Other projects in southwestern, northern and central Idaho are in production or post-production.

Peppershock Media in Nampa is looking for a freelance producer to work on a per project basis. We need a writer, shooter, editor with great client care. Basically we're looking for a one man (or woman) band that can work well both with a team or on their own. Flexible, adaptable, talented and creative.

The ideal candidate needs to have an education in media and communications as well as work experience. Skills needed:

Experience in studio and field production with professional
HD cameras and/or DSLR cameras
Basic 3 point lighting
Field audio recording
2 years of experience with Final Cut Pro, Motion or After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Candidate also needs to have experience writing scripts, working directly with clients, and scheduling.
Attention to detail is required.
Experience shooting documentaries, commercial production, promotional videos a plus.
Schedule: Flexible, as needed basis.
Could turn into full time position.
